Royal Jersey’s Anabelle Lucas-Villar recorded a new Ladies course record at La Moye Golf Club last Sunday whilst winning the Gothard Trophy – a Jersey Golf Union Junior Trophy.

She carded a five under par round of 69. She started with four straight pars and then eagled the par 5 fifth hole. She followed this with a birdie at the next hole, before another two pars and a birdie at the ninth to turn in 34 strokes.

Anabelle carded all pars on her back nine, except for a solitary birdie at the par 5 sixteenth hole. This was an exceptional score from a player that is continually improving and the experience of playing in the Under 16’s last month has helped. Anabelle has reduced her handicap to 1.3 as a result of her recent performances.
